Job Details

At Cupid Compusoft, we’re looking for a smart and dedicated PHP Developer who can help us build and maintain dynamic, secure, and scalable web applications. If you enjoy backend coding and want to work in a fast-moving startup environment, this role is for you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write clean, well-structured code using PHP (Core PHP or frameworks like Laravel/CodeIgniter).
  • Develop and maintain websites, web apps, admin panels, and APIs.
  • Work with frontend developers to connect APIs and backend systems.
  • Debug and fix issues in existing code and improve application performance.
  • Create MySQL database structures and write optimized queries.
  • Participate in planning, development, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Ensure code security, scalability, and proper documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Strong logic-building skills and interest in web application development.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
  • Willingness to learn and work with new technologies when needed.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of website speed, SEO basics, and code optimization is a plus.

Skill & Experience

  • PHP Skills: Good command over Core PHP, and any one framework like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
  • Database: Experience working with MySQL (designing tables, joins, indexing, etc.).
  • API Integration: Able to create and use REST APIs, third-party integrations like payment gateways, SMS, etc.
  • Frontend Basics: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how frontend and backend connect.
  • Version Control: Knowledge of Git is a plus.
  • Agile Workflow: Experience working in a startup setup, using tools like Jira, Trello, or ClickUp for task tracking.
